The M Word

Mental health and neurodiversity are words we increasingly hear in conversations, the media, and through education. there's a growing awareness of understanding around them. The M Word CIC, was set up to help, support and advise parents, and their young people with mental health difficulties and neurodiversity, through screening, assessment, and therapy too, as well as help with send and school related challenges.

Their sister company, emotional problem solving ltd extends this support through education and training to professionals and parents.

Calibre provides as audiobook lending service to people with a health condition, disability or learning difference which impacts on their ability to read print - because we believe everyone deserves access to books in formats that support them to flourish. We support members with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, anxiety and many other conditions. Our audiobooks bring them the joy and wellbeing benefits of reading, through listening. Our collection of over 19,800 audiobooks spans 70 categories, over 3,800 for children and young adults. These include fiction and non-fiction, new titles and classics. New titles are added every week. Members can choose to stream, download, or listen via USB sticks sent in the post. For children with a neurodivergent condition, falling behind with reading can impact their educational attainment and future employment prospects, with profound social and psychological consequences. We aim to address these inequalities early by providing audiobooks to them in school.
